Security-Update (Shellshock-Bug)
Von Protonet Team. Veröffentlicht 26. September 2014.
Since yesterday, it is known that there is a severe security flaw in both Linux and Mac computers, leading to people gaining control of computers.
The operating system of Protonet (SOUL OS) is based on a Linux operating system, meaning it is affected as well.
This means that any individual who is within the Protonet-Box‘ network can make use of this flaw and gain full access to the Protonet-Box.
Therefore, we made an update (stable/48) available today so that this flaw is no longer a threat.
Customers who have not yet updated their Protonet-Box to the newly released Soul 2.0, and who temporarily would not like to upgrade to SOUL 2.0, can contact our support. We’ll be able to manually fix this flaw for you.
Furthermore, we suggest all Linux or Mac users to install any new security updates available on your computers.
Thank you, and we all wish you a lovely weekend!
Your Protonet-Team.
